Understanding The Dashboard

Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard consists of three sections:

  1. Monthly Metrics
  2. Charts
  3. Lifetime Metrics

Monthly Metrics

This section builds on the “in and out” feature from Paychecks and the tracking feature from Tasks.

  • Top Horizontal Scroll: Displays four key metrics:
    1. Monthly totals for income
    2. Expenses
    3. Debt payments
    4. Savings
  • Dynamic Icons: These icons trend based on the previous month’s values, providing a holistic view of your budget for the month.

Charts

This section provides various visual representations of your financial data.

  • Chart Types and Durations:
    • Line Chart: Shows the progression of total savings and total balance.
    • Bar Chart: Displays spending totals for each type of bill for each duration.
    • Pie Chart: Illustrates spending ratios for each type of bill for each duration.
  • Durations: Each chart can display data for three durations:
    1. Paycheck-to-Paycheck
    2. Month-to-Month
    3. Year-to-Year

Access:

  • Free members have access to the “Savings & Balance by Paycheck” line chart.
  • Premium members have access to all current and future charts.

Lifetime Metrics

This section provides visuals to track your overall financial progress.

  • Outstanding Balance and Total Saved:
    • Displayed with progression indicators to the right.
    • As you track each bill in the Current section, the progression percentage updates in real-time, showing how well you are maintaining your budget and achieving your debt payoff and savings goals.
