You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). If you are under 18, you must have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use BetterBudgets. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

• You may create an account with accurate, current information.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

You may use BetterBudgets to:

• Create and manage personal budgets, financial plans, and savings goals.
• Track income and expenses you manually input into the app.
• Access educational content and planning tools provided by BetterBudgets.
• Sync your data securely across your personal devices.

Not financial advice. BetterBudgets is a personal finance planning tool and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. We are not a licensed financial advisor. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, our servers, or any related systems.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the app.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access or collect data from the Services.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services or infrastructure (including DDoS attacks or viruses).
• Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use the Services to transmit any harmful, fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content.

We may immediately suspend or terminate your account for any of these violations.

• Some features require a paid subscription (e.g., Thrive Plan). Free features remain available without a subscription.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, or Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store / Google Play account settings.
• All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as provided by Apple's or Google's refund policies.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with or without advance notice. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

You retain ownership of all budget data and content you input into BetterBudgets. By using the Services, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your content solely to provide the Services to you. We do not use your personal budget data for advertising or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

All rights, title, and interest in BetterBudgets — including code, designs, logos, trademarks, and software — belong to BetterBudgets LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

• The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of information you input or for financial decisions you make based on app outputs.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100, whichever is greater).
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive the right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. If arbitration is not enforceable, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the state of BetterBudgets LLC's principal place of business.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 30 days in advance (unless an immediate change is required by law). Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
