The Analytics Dashboard gives you a visual overview of your financial health — built entirely around your BetterBudgets plan, not your bank statements.
Accessing Analytics
From the main navigation, tap Analytics (or the chart icon). The dashboard is available to all users, with expanded views available on the Thrive plan.
What's on the Dashboard
Spending vs. Budget
A chart comparing your logged spending to your budgeted amounts across all categories for the current month. See at a glance which categories are on track and which are running over.
Debt Progress
A visual showing how your total debt balance is moving over time. As you log payments and months pass, the line trends downward. The projected payoff date from your active budget plan is marked on the timeline.
Savings Trajectory
Tracks your cumulative savings against the projection in your active budget plan. Are you ahead or behind? This chart answers that.
Net Worth Trend
Your net worth (assets minus liabilities) over time. As debts decrease and savings increase, this number trends up. For many users, watching this chart is one of the most motivating parts of the app.
Category Breakdown
A breakdown of where your money went this month by category — useful for identifying spending patterns over time.
Thrive Plan Analytics
Thrive users get access to additional analytics views including:
- ›Multi-month trend comparisons
- ›Year-over-year breakdowns
- ›Budget plan variance analysis (how each category has tracked over the life of your plan)
Tips
- ›Analytics are only as good as your tracking. The more consistently you log, the more useful the dashboard becomes.
- ›Check it weekly. A quick weekly review of the dashboard is usually enough to stay on course.
